Getting started

What is the app?

Pepple's Forest Puzzles is a collection of gentle puzzle games for young children. There are no timers, no scores, and no way to lose. Tap a game on the forest map to play it, and use the back button in the corner to return to the map.

Which device does it need?

An iPad, held in landscape. The app is designed for that screen and does not rotate to portrait.

Does my child need to read?

No. Every game is played by tapping and dragging, and nothing needs to be read aloud.

Unlocking the full game

What is free and what is paid?

Four games are free to play. A single one time purchase unlocks the rest permanently. There is no subscription and nothing else to buy.

How do I buy the unlock?

Open Settings from the backpack in the corner of the forest map, then tap Unlock Full Game. Settings sits behind an adult gate, described below.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. The unlock is tied to that account, so it carries across your devices and through Family Sharing where enabled.

The unlock button is not working

Check that the device is online and signed in to an Apple Account, then try again. If a message appears on the button, include it in your email to us and we will know exactly where it stopped.

I paid but the games are still locked

Tap Restore Purchases first, as it resolves nearly every case. If it does not, email us and we will help.

For parents

How does the adult gate work?

Settings and purchases are behind a gate your child cannot pass. Press and hold the backpack for three seconds, then answer the multiplication problem shown.

Can my child spend money by accident?

No. Buying requires passing the adult gate and then confirming with Apple. You can also disable purchases entirely in Screen Time, under Content and Privacy Restrictions.

Does the app collect data about my child?

No. There are no accounts, no sign up, no analytics, and no third party advertising. Nothing your child does in the app leaves the device. See our privacy policy for the full statement.

Does it need an internet connection?

Only to make or restore a purchase. Every game is playable offline.

How do I turn the music off?

Open Settings through the adult gate and drag the music volume slider all the way down.

Something went wrong

If the app closes unexpectedly or a game will not open, try closing the app fully and reopening it, then restarting the iPad. If it keeps happening, email us with:

• which iPad model you use, and its iPadOS version
• which game it happens in
• what you saw on screen

Progress is not stored between sessions, so nothing is lost by closing the app.
